Ogi returns as headline sponsor for the Ogi Porthcawl 10k for the second year running, and so is last year’s Ogi champion, Wyn Innes. Hailing from picturesque Creigiau, Wyn stole the show in the last epic race, earning his legendary nickname, The Fastest Ogi, by zooming past the finish line as the top Ogi team member. But he’s not resting on his laurels, Wyn is gearing up to defend his title and keep the crown firmly on his head!
When he’s not number-crunching as Chief Financial Officer at Ogi, you can find Wyn pounding the pavement rain or shine. He admits he runs simply for the pure enjoyment of it. He loves the mass participation atmosphere of races like the Ogi Porthcawl 10k. As he says, “I love keeping fit and keeping going. It’s really hard to gain back what you’ve lost when you stop!”
Forget treadmills, Wyn prefers the great outdoors as his training ground, embracing the elements with every stride. Tracking his progress with apps like Strava keeps him motivated, but it’s the friendly rivalries and the thrill of race day that truly ignite his competitive spirit.
Will he make history as the Fastest Ogi two years running? Win or lose, one thing’s for sure: Wyn’s in it for the sheer thrill, and when that starting horn blasts, you can bet he’ll be giving it everything he’s got and then some!
