The last year or so at Ogi Pro have been full of highs.
From hosting insightful industry events to earning local and industry recognition for the rollout of our game-changing full fibre network, our entire team has been worked extremely hard to enable an exciting future for tech in Wales.
We’ve also unlocked new network capacity for South Wales through our landmark dark fibre project, and introduced new 2 Gig and 8 Gig products for our business customers. Not to mention a whole load of very exciting partnerships and some amazing successes for our clients – like Whisper Cymru, who will be producing Channel 4’s coverage of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

After announcing our plans to install a bespoke B2B full fibre network in Cardiff, we spent most of April focused on one big question: what can we offer growing Welsh businesses to help them become truly unstoppable?
We teamed up with Ogi partner Tramshed Tech to host an expert panel discussion, exploring the importance of digital infrastructure to the Welsh economy. Featuring experienced leaders from S4C, Cyber Innovation Hub, Fintech Wales and Tramshed Tech, the event highlighted how crucial digital inclusion and skills will be to our future prosperity as a nation.
Having already announced the full fibre network needed to support such ambitious plans, we came away from the event buzzing about our potential to provide transformative tech for businesses in Wales.
Building on the success of our panel discussion, we announced Market Share: a series of quarterly events organised in partnership with Tramshed Tech, Yolk Recruitment and Rockadove.
By inviting pioneers from Wales and beyond to speak at these events, we’d give Welsh businesses a chance to hear about latest trends and insights from the worlds of digital, tech and marketing.

We showcased the best of Welsh business at The Shard as part of London Tech Week.
With trailblazing companies from the worlds of cyber, fintech and semiconductors all hailing from Wales, it was an honour to share what makes our home nation such a brilliant place to do business.
A comprehensive report created by The Coalition for a Digital Economy (Coadec) made this even more apparent, reaffirming Wales’ status as an important hub for tech and digital businesses.
We won some awards! Ogi was named as a Regional Rapid Riser and Scale-Up Business of the Year by British Chamber of Commerce. Diolch!
It was a real honour to announce our third season of support as an official partner for Cardiff Rugby. As well as being the club’s connectivity and IT partner, seeing the Ogi logo on the kit of our local team felt pretty special.
Continuing our commitment to Welsh businesses, we became corporate partners with Cardiff Business Club, Fintech Wales and Chamber Wales, bringing networking opportunities and regular events to our main office in Hodge House, Cardiff. We also partnered with Wales Tech Week, celebrating and championing Welsh tech at the International Convention Centre in Newport.
And with the first phase of our high-speed network for Cardiff installed in East Moors, we began to set our sights on the next phase of our rollout, bringing blazing fast internet to Cardiff Bay, Dumballs Road and the Capital Quarter in collaboration with Nokia.
We brought our ultrafast broadband to Fontygary Leisure Park in the Vale of Glamorgan, bringing full fibre access to 500 holiday homes and their surrounding leisure facilities. No more slow surfing or sluggish streaming when you’re on holiday – our network ensures that Fontgary visitors experience speedy internet all year round.
We teamed up with Chambers Wales, inviting former All Black and all-round legend Justin Marshall to speak at our Chamber Conversations networking lunch during the Six Nations.
Another nice win for Team Ogi! We took away the Business Services category award at the Cardiff Life Awards, having been recognised for our innovative partnership with Nokia and our work to secure a bright future for Wales’ tech industry.
We also opened our high-capacity network of dark fibre and microducts along the southeast section of the M4 corridor, enabling networks in South Wales to scale up while moving data quickly and reliably throughout the region.
To wrap up an incredible year, the Wales Business Awards delivered further recognition as we collected the B2B Customer Commitment trophy. Putting customers, and solving their problems, is at the heart of our business and something we pride ourselves on.
