In another boost to its retail operation, Ogi – is extending its high street presence this spring, opening concessions in three new stores.
Landing on the high street back in August last year [2023], Ogi is now adding the Blackwood, Pontypool and Tonypandy Get Connected stores to its existing locations in Abergavenny, Chepstow, Haverfordwest and Monmouth.
The retail partnership has been a mutually beneficial arrangement, boosting brand visibility on busy high streets across south Wales, and attracting new customers to the stores with a new offer and its competitive speed and price combinations.
Offering the provider’s latest Ogi 500 deal – a 500Mbps package for an industry-leading £21 a month, the retail stores will sell home broadband and phone services, with speeds around four times faster than the Welsh average.
Already kicking off the year [2024] with a new customer service, and boosted its online self-help service available to customers, with new guides and tutorials covering the most common questions – all in a bid to strengthen its internet service provider (ISP) status across south Wales.
The maturing challenger brand has quickly gained a reputation for its stand-out Wales-based credentials, highspeed ultrafast services and is consistently rated ‘excellent’ on independent review sites such as Trustpilot.
Speaking about new speeds and availability, Chief Revenue Officer, Sally-Anne Skinner, said: “Offering 500Mbps at a very competitive price, we hope to once again boost interest in full fibre services here in Wales. The internet has become a vital utility, and accessing it shouldn’t be based on how much you can afford to pay. For too long communities have had to suffer poor speeds and eye watering prices. We’ve always said we’re here to change that – and once again we’re reflecting that in our offer to customers.
“Extending our partnership with Get Connected also offers wannabe Ogi customers another way to find out about our services face-to-face, and is a welcome boost to the independent high streets across south Wales.”
Ogi has now signed up over 15,000 customers to its full fibre network, installing new connections in some of Wales’s most rural settings, often with little to no existing fibre infrastructure before. This new focus on competitive pricing, without reducing the quality of speed – instead increasing it – is part of Ogi’s initial focus in 2024 on its household ISP brand.
