Launching today, we’re inviting groups across south Wales to get out and about this spring, as our award-winning community fund ‘Cefnogi’ returns.

This time around, we’re asking people to step away from screens and ’go offline’.

Groups can apply for a grant to support projects from walking clubs to grassroots sports and skills-based workshops – or anything in between, as long as it takes people offline.

Since its launch back in 2022, the Cefnogi programme has given away thousands of pounds to local groups, charities and schools, with staff also spending over 3,000 hours volunteering in the community – taking part in everything from litter picks to community garden builds.

Now, as the weather gets better (!) we’re looking to back even more projects that make a real difference offline in the community.

Opening the latest round, Sarah Vining, Brand Marketing Director at Ogi, said “Last time, Cefnogi focused on digital inclusion, helping communities use tech in creative ways. This time, we’re flipping the script – championing real-life connections instead.

“In an increasingly digital world, it’s easy to forget the value of face-to-face interactions. Whether it’s exploring the outdoors, learning a new skill, or simply bringing people together, we want to support projects that encourage communities to log off and reconnect with the world around them.”

Community groups can apply for funds towards the cost of projects that put community at the heart of their work. The fund is open for 4 weeks from today [03 April 2025].
