Bounce Arrow

This new process – called One Touch Switching – makes it simpler to get a faster package, cheaper deal, and better customer service from broadband providers. What’s not to love?

Under the new process brought in by Ofcom, if you want to change your broadband and phone service, a new provider can make the switch for you – so you can say ‘hwyl fawr’ without having to speak to your existing provider. No one likes a break-up, so this whole process is designed with you in mind.

We're here to speed you up not slow you down

‘Life admin’ is no fun at the best of times and this new process addresses the main complaints people have when they try to change their broadband or phone service…

👎Having to contact both providers

👎 Waiting ages for the switch to happen

👎 Hassled to stay

It’s now as easy as un, dau, tri.

Step 1. Simply phone us on 029 2002 0232 and we’ll do the rest.

All you need is:

👉 Name of your current provider

👉 Surname on your account

👉 Your account number

This can all be found on a bill from your current provider.

Our friendly Ogi team is based right here in south Wales. They’ll make sure you get the best package to suit your needs and talk you through the switch.

How does it work?

Once you’ve spoken to us, you’ll automatically receive any important switching information from your current provider. This could include any early termination charges and your final bill. You’ll need you to consent to the switch before we get started. You’ll be able to do this online in the future too, so watch this space.

One Touch Switch (OTS) FAQs

What is One Touch Switching?

OTS is the new process for switching broadband and landline providers, brought in by the communications regulator Ofcom, to make it quick and easy to move to another service. It means most people will only have to contact their new broadband or landline provider, rather than having to cancel the old one.

Why introduce OTS?

One Touch Switching is an industry-wide change starting on 12 September 2024 making the process of switching from one provider to another easier for you. Ofcom’s research has shown that around 41% of consumers are put off switching due to the hassle of contacting more than one provider. A similar number (43%) think it will take too long.

What if I want to switch now?

Use our handy postcode checker to find out if you can join Ogi today. Or you can pre-register your details with us so we can keep in touch. You can also phone our friendly team on 029 2002 0520, or email us at sales@ogi.wales and we’ll talk you through the process.

What if I’m still in contract?

Dim problem. Don’t get stuck with slow speeds, phone us and let’s see what we can do 029 2002 0232.

If you want to change provider before the end of your minimum contract period, you may have to pay early termination charges.

What information do I need to OTS?

To start the matching process, you will need to share some details with Ogi for us to identify you and your current service provider. The more details you have to hand, the stronger the match. We’ll ask for:

👉 Name of your current provider

👉 Name on your account

👉 Your account number

If you only have your name and address, we may get multiple matches, but if you enter your existing account number or phone number, we should get the right match. If the data is entered incorrectly or your current provider has incorrect information, such as wrong email address or name spelled differently, then we may not get the correct match right away. We’ll be in touch if we need a little more information.

When is OTS not applicable?

OTS is applicable if you are switching providers at the same address. OTS is not applicable if you are moving house. You can always opt-out of OTS and cancel your old provider yourself.

What is Ofcom?

Ofcom is the UK’s communications regulator. They are committed to a creating a thriving telecoms sector, where companies can compete fairly, and customers benefit from a broad range of services including broadband.

What is TOTSCo?

Established by the Industry in June 2022, TOTSCo manages the One Touch Switching process on behalf of the industry.
